About Operators Said
Operators Said collects what operators say on podcasts for founders and revenue leaders, and organises it so you can read the point without listening to the hour.

How insights are made and checked
Insights are written by AI from each episode's transcript. A second pass then compares every insight with the transcript and corrects or removes what it gets wrong, and each quote is matched against the transcript word by word.
This catches most errors, not all. In our own audits about one insight in fifteen still had a small inaccuracy, most often a point credited to the wrong speaker. For anything you plan to act on or repeat, listen to the passage.
Agreement and experience
Each topic separates two things. "Where they agree" lists positions that at least two independent operators have stated, in at least two different episodes; co-hosts of a show count as one, and a host and guest agreeing in one conversation do not count as two. "From one operator's experience" lists what a single named guest described doing or seeing, usually at their own company. One account is not a consensus, and it is not presented as one.
How recent it has to be
Advice in this field dates quickly. A position counts what was said in the last twelve months in full, what was said twelve to eighteen months ago at half weight, and nothing older. A position that nobody has backed in eighteen months is no longer shown.
What the marks mean
- Speaker inferred: the episode has several guests and its transcript does not say who is talking, so the speaker was worked out from the conversation.
- Speaker not identified: it was not clear enough to name anyone.
- Could not be matched to the transcript: the quote is closer to a paraphrase than the speaker's exact words.
- Older: said more than eighteen months ago. It is kept for reference but no longer counts towards a position.
